Your visit at String Quartet Festival
Ever since the Romantic period, Heidelberg has been a dream destination for travellers from all over the world. If you’re coming over for the Frühling, why not take the opportunity of exploring the place that Friedrich Hölderlin waxed lyrical over, calling it “of all the cities in the round, fairest, most sylvan of those I found”. It has much to offer: the famous castle, the panorama from Philosophers’ Way and the entrancing countryside just outside its limits. If you have a few days to spare, you might like to venture further afield. Mannheim’s famous Reiss-Engelhorn Museum and the Baroque splendour of the gardens of the elector’s residence in Schwetzingen are only half-an-hour away by car or bus.
